BigCommerce

Before Starborn, I spent over a year as a contract Visual Designer embedded inside one of the world's leading e-commerce platforms — working across a 20+ person marketing team on everything from paid digital campaigns to live event experiences.

It's where I learned what it means to design at scale: fast, consistent, on-brand, and built to perform.

Position: Visual Designer

Team Size: 20+

Digital Ads

High-volume paid campaigns running across multiple platforms and formats — from social to display. Every asset had to stop the scroll, communicate a clear message, and fit within an established campaign direction. Working at this volume meant developing a sharp eye for what performs, and the ability to execute quickly without sacrificing quality.

SEO Article Assets

Visual headers and infographics created in direct collaboration with the Content Marketing Manager — designed to support the SEO team's efforts and bring each article to life visually. Assets needed to fit the specific content, feel cohesive with the BigCommerce brand, and translate seamlessly across social platforms.

Event Assets

Print and signage for in-person events and trade shows — designed to fit the brand, the space, and event themes. These assets had to work in the real world, which meant thinking beyond the screen and considering how design lands at scale, in a room full of people.

Landing Pages

Campaign and event landing pages designed in Figma from brief to handoff. Working directly with members of the marketing team, I pulled together copy, visuals, and components into a cohesive page — then packaged everything cleanly for the web team to build. Every project had multiple stakeholders and tight timelines, which meant learning how to communicate clearly and deliver work that needed no explanation.
